Key features
- Quad-Cluster™ cartridge assembly — four reusable polyester cartridge elements provide immense surface area for extended intervals between cleanings.
- Industry's lowest hydraulic head loss — ultra-low flow resistance saves electricity by allowing variable-speed pumps to run at lower RPM.
- Single-piece heavy-duty clamp — tamper-proof lock ring securely fastens tank halves while allowing quick, tool-free access during semi-annual cartridge rinses.
- Durable glass-reinforced co-polymer tank — injection-molded tank body stands up to harsh Ontario freeze-thaw cycles and chemical exposure.
- Integrated manual air relief and pressure gauge — provides accurate operational pressure readings and safe, instant tank venting.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a cartridge filter and a sand filter?
Cartridge filters provide significantly finer filtration (10 to 15 microns vs. 20 to 40 microns for sand) and require zero backwashing. This saves thousands of litres of treated, heated pool water every summer and eliminates the need to run backwash hoses across your lawn.
Which SwimClear size should I choose for an in-ground pool?
For pools up to 18x36 ft (approx. 20,000 gallons), the 325 sq ft W3C3030 provides excellent turnover. For larger pools, heavy foliage, or setups with high-flow variable-speed pumps, the 425 sq ft W3C4030 or 525 sq ft W3C5030 allows you to go the entire swimming season without cleaning cartridges.
How do I clean the SwimClear cartridges?
Turn off the pump, open the high-capacity manual air relief valve, loosen the single-piece lock ring clamp, and lift off the upper tank head. Slide out the four cartridge elements and rinse between the pleats with a standard garden hose nozzle.
How do I winterize the filter in Ontario?
Remove the bottom 1.5-inch drain plug to evacuate all water from the tank body. Open the air relief valve, remove the four cartridge elements, rinse and dry them, and store them indoors away from winter frost and rodents.
